Learn to spin fiber on a drop spindle. Maryelle Compton has demonstrated cotton and wool spinning at the museum for the past four years. An avid, life-long knitter, she learned to spin twelve years ago and has since experimented with prepared wool, raw fleeces and silk. She hopes that through this introductory drop spindle class, you will get hooked and be led down the same delightful rabbit hole as her.
