On Thursday, July 30, the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) announced the launch of “On The DOT: An ARDOT Podcast,” a podcast designed to connect Arkansans with the people, projects, and decisions that keep Arkansas’ transportation system moving.
As part of ARDOT’s ongoing commitment to transparency and communication with the public, “On The DOT: An ARDOT Podcast” offers listeners a real, behind-the-scenes look at the Department’s work across Arkansas. Each episode will feature informative, yet informal, discussions on timely topics pertaining to ARDOT and the transportation industry.
The podcast is hosted and produced by ARDOT’s Communications Division. It will feature guests from both within and outside of ARDOT. In the inaugural episode “More Than Potholes: An Intro to ARDOT,” the co-hosts are joined by special guest ARDOT Director Jared Wiley for a crash course on all things ARDOT in under 30 minutes.
“This podcast provides yet another platform for ARDOT to educate and engage with the public,” Wiley said. “Reliable transportation is critical to all of us, every day. Our goal is to make these topics more understandable, relatable, and accessible to everyone.”
New episodes of “On The DOT: An ARDOT Podcast” will be released regularly and will be available on major podcast platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube, as well as through ARDOT’s website and social media channels.
