The Arkansas State Police is investigating the discovery of human remains off Interstate 40 (westbound) near Morgan at the 140 mile marker. The remains were discovered about 10:30 this morning and are believed to be those of a male.
Special Agents of the Criminal Investigation Division are handling the investigation. While tentative identification of the body has been made, agents are attempting to locate next of kin.
The body has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory where the manner and cause of death will be determined.
