JOHNSON COUNTY (4-6) – Improvement work needs a ramp closure on Interstate 40 at Coal Hill, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will close the I-40 eastbound on-ramp at Coal Hill (Exit 47) beginning today, April 6. This closure will remain in place until late April and will allow crews to improve the bridge deck pavement.
Adjustment of the times of the ramp closure may be required due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
