District Five crews closed a bridge on Highway 56 near Franklin yesterday to prepare for improvements.
The bridge crosses a ditch on Highway 56 between Wolf Springs Road and Bates Road about two miles east of Franklin. A separate release will follow with more information about the work schedule and length of the closure.
The following detour route is available: from the intersection of Highways 56 and 167, continue north 1.75 miles to the intersection of Highways 167 and 62/412. Turn north onto Highway 62/412 and continue 9.5 miles to the intersection of Highways 62/412 and 289 South. Continue south on Highway 289 to the intersection of Highways 289 and 56 in Franklin.
