Highway 111 (N. Alexander Road) in Alexander between 1st Street and Earl Miller Lane is scheduled to close from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 12.
Weather permitting, the closure will allow Union Pacific Railroad to make repairs to the train tracks.
To reach the north side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 111 south to Alexander Road, Alexander Road east to Vimy Ridge Road, Vimy Ridge Road north to Interstate 30, and then Interstate 30 south back to Highway 111. To reach the south side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 111 north to Interstate 30, Interstate 30 north to Vimy Ridge Road, Vimy Ridge Road south to Alexander Road, then Alexander Road west back to Highway 111.
Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures and detour routes.
