MISSISSIPPI COUNTY | June 11, 2026

Highway 148 between County Road 503 and County Road 535 near Blytheville is scheduled to close around the clock from 8 a.m. Monday, June 15, through 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2.

Weather permitting, the closure will allow crews to replace an existing bridge. Highway 148 will remain open to local traffic only on either side of the closure.

A signed detour will be in place. To reach the west side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 148 east to Highway 61, Highway 61 south to Highway 158, Highway 158 west to Highway 181, then Highway 181 north back to Highway 148. To reach the east side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 148 west to Highway 181, Highway 181 south to Highway 158, Highway 158 west to Highway 61, then Highway 61 north back to Highway 148.

Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closure.
