SALINE COUNTY | July 2, 2026

Highway 229 from the Interstate 30 (I-30) Frontage Road north to W. Jackman Trail is scheduled to close overnight from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 6.

Weather permitting, the closure will allow contractors to install drainage crossings.

A signed detour will be in place. To reach the north side of the closure, traffic will take I-30 east to Exit 116 (Sevier Street/South Street) to Highway 229. To reach the south side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 229 north to I-30 west, then take Exit 114 (Highway 67/Highway 229) onto Highway 229.

Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures and detour routes.
