Highway 77 north of Highway 158 near County Road 524 in Mississippi County is scheduled to close around the clock from 6 a.m. Monday, July 27, for approximately 120 days. It is estimated to reopen by Tuesday, November 24.
Weather permitting, the closure will allow for the construction of a new bridge.
A signed detour will be in place. To reach the south side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 77 north to Highway 18, Highway 18 east to Highway 181, Highway 181 south to Highway 158, then Highway 158 west back to Highway 77. To reach the north side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 77 south to Highway 158, Highway 158 east to Highway 181, Highway 181 north to Highway 18, then Highway 18 west back to Highway 77.
Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures and detour routes.
