LITTLE ROCK (10-14) – Ellen Coulter has been named the Media Communications Manager for the Public Information Office, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Coulter has degrees in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Arkansas and was most recently the Director of Communications for the Downtown Little Rock Partnership. “Through working in journalism, I discovered a passion for public service and government communications,” Coulter said. “I am thrilled to join the Arkansas Department of Transportation team and continue their work of providing critical infrastructure across the state.”

Before moving to Little Rock, she worked as the Deputy Director of Communications in her hometown for the St. Louis County Government in St. Louis, Missouri. Additionally, she has served as an Editor and Producer for multiple media outlets.

“We are thrilled to have Ellen join us at the Arkansas Department of Transportation, more specifically the Public Information Office,” reported ARDOT’s Public Information Officer, Dave Parker. “It’s our job to keep the public informed on what’s happening statewide and having Ellen as our new Media Communications Manager will lead to even better results.”

Coulter officially begins Monday, October 18, 2021.
