The Interstate 55 (I-55) bridge over the Mississippi River is scheduled to have daily northbound and southbound outside lane closures from Monday, August 31, through Thursday, September 17.
The southbound outside lane will be closed Monday through Thursday each week from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thenorthbound outside lane will be closed Monday through Thursday each week from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Only one direction will be closed at a time, beginning with I-55 southbound.
Weather permitting, the closures will allow crews to perform a routine bridge inspection.
Cones and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures.
