LEXINGTON, Ky — The National Association of State Chief Administrators (NASCA) announced Amy Fecher’s election as an At-Large Director of the Executive Committee. As a member of the executive committee, Fecher, Arkansas Secretary of the Department of Transformation and Shared Services, is tasked with guiding the industry and providing robust thought leadership on issues that transform government operations. “In Arkansas, we have streamlined the structure of our state government and built a strong shared services model to find savings and simplify services for citizens. I look forward to sharing what we’ve accomplished, learning lessons from my peers, and working to advance government operations around the country,” remarked Fecher. Fecher previously led the Governor’s transformation efforts to streamline state government and prioritize efficiencies and effectiveness. Fecher was the driving force behind the state’s efforts to centralize state services through a shared services model while serving as the Executive Vice President of Operations at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. Fecher has over twenty years of experience working in public, private, and not‐for‐profit sectors; this includes her role at the Economic Development Commission, her role as the former Director of the Arkansas Department of Rural Services, and her role working in former Governor Mike Huckabee’s administration.
