Corporal Ryan Jacks, 45, of Grant County, was promoted to the rank of sergeant earlier this month during a regular meeting of the Arkansas State Police Commission.  The recommendation for promotion was presented to the commission by Colonel Bill Bryant, state police director.

Sergeant Jacks is a 21 year veteran of the Arkansas State Police and most recently was assigned as a special agent to the Criminal Investigation Division, Company A.  He will assume new duties assigned to the CID administrative offices headquartered at Little Rock.
