CLEBURNE COUNTY | April 30, 2026 

The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) will close all lanes of Highway 25 across Greers Ferry Dam from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3.

Following the full closure, the road will reopen but be reduced to a single lane around the clock from 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3, until 4 p.m. Saturday, May 9.

Weather permitting, the closure will allow crews to complete repair work and maintenance. The closure has been coordinated with local emergency management officials and law enforcement agencies.

Travel to locations on Highway 25 north of the Greers Ferry Dam closure will require a detour using Highway 25 south near Pearson to Highway 16 west to Whispering Springs, to Highway 92 east to Drasco, back to Highway 25.

Travel to locations on Highway 25 south of the Greers Ferry Dam closure will require a detour using Highway 25 north through Drasco to Highway 92 west to Whispering Springs, to Highway 16 south through Pearson, back to Highway 25.
