CRITTENDEN COUNTY | July 15, 2026

The Interstate 40 (I-40) Hernando de Soto bridge over the Mississippi River between Memphis and West Memphis is scheduled to have daily westbound outside lane closures during the following dates and times:

  • The westbound outside lane on the I-40 Bridge is scheduled to close Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting Tuesday, July 7, through Thursday, July 30.

Weather permitting, crews will be performing routine bridge maintenance.

Digital message boards, cones, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures.

Drivers are encouraged to:

  • Use caution when traveling through the work area.
  • Watch for crews and equipment entering or exiting the roadway.
  • Obey all posted signs and speed limits.
  • Allow additional travel time.
