Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System (APERS)

Created by Act 177 of 1957, the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System (APERS) serves some 60,000 members, retirees, and beneficiaries. APERS is a cost sharing, multiple employer, defined benefit plan. Participating employers include most state agencies, all counties, over 100 municipal entities, and some 325 school districts.
