SEBASTIAN COUNTY | October 28, 2022

Join ARDOT leadership, contractors, and local dignitaries in Greenwood at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 3 to cut a ribbon on a newly paved portion of Highway 10 Spur/Center Street, from Highway 71 to Highway 10.

The ribbon-cutting event will take place at the Park-and-Ride Facility at the southeast corner of Highway 71 and Highway 10 Spur/Center Street (2833 US-71, Greenwood, AR 72936).

This project included resurfacing nearly 3 miles of Highway 10 Spur/Center Street – a major thoroughfare through the city of Greenwood. This is part of a larger partnering agreement with the city of Greenwood which will include construction of the future Greenwood Bypass.

As part of the partnering agreement, the city of Greenwood will take ownership of Highway 10 Spur/Center Street. Once ARDOT relinquishes ownership, the road will no longer be designated as a highway and will only be referred to as Center Street. This change will allow the city of Greenwood to restrict truck traffic through the city and reroute that traffic to what will be the new Greenwood Bypass.

Forsgren, Inc. was awarded the $1,785,847.21 contract for the Highway 10 Spur resurfacing project.
