CRAIGHEAD COUNTY | Mar. 4, 2022

The removal of an existing bridge and installation of a box culvert for a ditch crossing Highway 91 near Egypt, Arkansas, will result in a temporary closure of the highway.

Weather permitting; crews will begin working on Highway 91 immediately south of Egypt starting at 8 a.m. Monday, March 7 to replace a deteriorating bridge.  The closure will remain in place until the work is complete. The work is estimated to take about two weeks. No detour is available; please use alternate routes.

Orange barrels, barricades, message boards, and signage will control traffic. ARDOT reminds drivers to slow down and minimize distractions when moving through a work zone. Using a phone in a work zone is unlawful and can result in citations and doubled fines.
