CRAWFORD & SEBASTIAN COUNTIES (4-30) – Routine inspections of two Highway 64 Arkansas River Bridges in northwest Arkansas means temporary lane closures in Fort Smith and Van Buren, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the outside eastbound lane followed by the outside westbound lane as follows:

  • Mon. May 3 – Tues. May 4 | 9a-3p | Hwy 64 between Fort Smith and Oklahoma
  • Wed. May 5 – Thurs. May 6 | 7:30a-3p | Hwy 64 between Fort Smith and Van Buren

Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
